What's New in Podium: Seamless Team Collaboration in Podium with Mentions

At Podium, we’re always looking for ways to improve how teams work together to deliver exceptional customer experiences. We know that effective communication between coworkers is just as important as the conversations you have with your customers. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our newest feature: Mentions.

Mentions is designed to make team collaboration within Podium effortless and efficient. Have you ever needed to loop a coworker into a conversation but didn’t have an easy way to do so? Whether you’re handing off a conversation or seeking help with a tricky situation, Mentions has you covered—all without ever leaving Podium.

How It Works

Using Mentions is simple:

  1. When you’re in a conversation, click the note icon in the text field.
  2. This opens the internal note modal- use the @ symbol to tag a specific coworker—for example, @Abby.
  3. Add your message, and hit save.
  4. You’ll see the note show up in the conversation history, but only visible to your team members in Podium.

Once tagged, your coworker will see a badge notification in the new Mentions section of their inbox. When they click into it, they’ll find the note you’ve tagged them in, complete with all the context they need to take action. Once the mention has been taken care of, hovering over the item in the mention list will show a checkmark and allow you to mark it as completed.
